Description

This coffee is originating from the south of Huila, the heart of the Colombian specialty coffee lands.

The lot is made of 22 separate lots of 15 individual farmers and is a blend of the varieties of Caturra, Pink Bourbon, Castillo and Colombia.

This coffee is a full bodied brilliant coffee, with a impressive taste of cherries and yellow fruits, an aftertaste of cocoa and rounded body. This coffee express his best dripped and in Chemex, a real cuddle.

Huila straddles across the Magdalena river valley flanked by the cordillera oriental in the east and the cordillera central to the west. The tributary valleys rising into these cordilleras all have their own (sub)tropical microclimates and are blessed with fertile volcanic soils. Farms are generally small with the farmer living surrounded by his (or her) coffee fields, personally overseeing the best agricultural practices and guaranteeing careful picking, washing and drying processes.

Michele’ suggestion: aromatic notes of apricot, walnuts, pineapple milk chocolate, for this Colombian microlot with a velvet body. You can perceive in cup a good acidity of yellow fruits.
